This study is for those who desire to draw near to God and to walk closely with Him. It is written in simple to understand language, for ordinary people who want to understand what the Word teaches and to put it into practice.

The Word of God speaks clearly on the key issues of life. There is a lot of confusion and misunderstanding of even the basic teachings of the Bible, thus I have put together a study of important truths in the Bible.

This study is to help you to learn, to understand, and to live what God teaches about the Holy Spirit in His Word, the Bible. God gave us the Bible to teach us how to know and to walk with Him. “If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit.” (Galations 5:25) (NASB)

Bible reading and prayer are as important to our spiritual health as food and water are to our physical health. This study guide is designed to help Christians learn, to understand, and to put into practice what God teaches us in His Word about prayer.

All genuine Christians have, or should have, a common purpose and devotion to our Lord Jesus Christ. As we grow to be more like Him, we form deep bonds of love and caring for each other. This is one of the deepest, most satisfying and fulfilling of all human relationships. God did not design us to be spiritual hermits, we need each other.

This study brings together three areas that are vital to walking close to the Lord. It gets to the heart of what it is to be a godly person. It is not written for those who are satisfied with a casual walk with the Lord but is for those who desire to draw near to God and to walk closely with Him.

It is my prayer that our Lord will be glorified and revered through this study. God did not design His children to be spiritual hermits. He instructed them to meet together to be taught the Word of God, to be encouraged and to encourage others, to be built up and to build up others, and to serve the Lord by serving fellow believers. God expects believers to function together as a unified group, or “body”. He called that body of saved people the “church”.

This study of worship is a call to a deeper walk with God. It is a call to be in reverence and awe of our holy God. It is a call to be holy, to love and to obey Him. A lasting revival of godly living will come in our own life and in the life of our churches when we choose to become faithful followers of our Lord Jesus Christ and to bring Him the kind of worship He seeks.

The approach of this study is to interpret Scripture literally, including the prophetic passages unless the language or the context of the passage of Scripture itself indicates that the passage is to be understood otherwise. To interpret the Bible allegorically, symbolically, or “spiritually” can result in an endless number of invalid interpretations that cannot be substantiated by Scripture itself. This study does not attempt to explain all the different interpretations but is in line with what conservative Biblical scholars teach.

“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. Science is a systematized study of information gained from direct observation, study, and experimentation carried on in order to determine what is genuinely true and factual about what is being studied. Serious problems arise when science attempts to determine what happened in the universe hundreds of millions or many billions of years ago. Now they are not dealing with present repeatable processes, but attempting to project back into the long ages of history…

The Bible is our record of truth that God has made known to man. It teaches us how we can know God and it teaches us how to walk near to Him, and how to be a disciple of our Lord Jesus Christ. Our faith is based on truths we learn from the Bible and as followers of the Lord Jesus Christ, we commit our entire lives to learning, understanding, and obeying the Word of God.

This study is written with the following goals: To help parents understand what the Bible teaches about raising children, to encourage them to put these principles in to practice and to give good resources, along with teaching Biblical truths needed to be good disciples of Jesus.

Every Christian experiences God’s hand on his life. Yet, no two of us experience the exact same things in our walk with Him. This is our testimony of God’s hand in our lives.
